Arthurs Seat has been a popular destination since the earliest days of settlement. The 304-metre peak was named ‘Arthurs Seat’ by Lieutenant Murray in 1802. The Peninsula’s highest viewpoint provides panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay from its many lookouts.
