Cow Bay is 2 hours drive north of Cairns, in Far North Queensland, Australia, in the heart of the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. We are located half way between the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation, off the main tourist route, and only 1.5 km from Cow Bay Beach. Our location provides easy access to all the activities, and the Daintree National Park.

Our Home
Our tropical pole home will show you how to live in this remote corner of North Queensland. which provides views to the Alexandra Range and the hills of Daintree National Park. The house is powered by solar energy, so you will have the opportunity to experience a more sustainable lifestyle.

You may use the deck or veranda to join or practise the 5 Tibetans exercises every morning, do Yoga by yourself or guided by tapes or just energise yourself with the beautiful surrounds; just breathe in the energy here.

The beach
Cow Bay Beach is 15 minutes walk away, with its three palm fringed bays and beautiful inshore reefs.

We have lived in the Daintree rainforest since 1996 and are happy to assist you planning your days here and booking tours and guided activities in the Daintree Cape Tribulation area.

Visit the Great Barrier Reef
Two local tourist boats visit the Great Barrier Reef daily for snorkelling and diving tours.

Walk in the forest...
We have a bush walk that goes around the boundary of the property, and is a lovely way to step into the forest, which is rather impenetrable otherwise. You will be amazed by the variety of bird life, insects, butterflies and the lush tropical rainforest, and watch out for Cassowaries, orange-footed scrub fowls and goannas. You can also check out our creek for turtles, jungle perch and fresh water prawns.

You can also do a guided half day walk or a night walk - and have the opportunity to spot a Cassowary. These tours are available only a short distance from our property

Check out the Cow Bay area....
Cow Bay has the only pub this side of the Daintree River, a couple of restaurants/cafes, a gallery, boutique hotels and the Daintree Discovery Centre, so there is a lot to experience here.
