All linen is included, chocolates, freshly baked bread on arrival and other breakfast provisions are supplied in the cottage.
Locally, on the Sapphire coast, there is swimming, fishing, horse riding, canoeing, grape and fruit wineries, art and craft studios, “Art in the Streets” during January, the famous Bega Cheese factory, Bemboka Pie shop, Tathra Wharf, the Pickle Factory, Candelo markets and of course whales in season. Our beaches are pristine and uncrowded and there are many leash free areas for pets.
Giba Gunyah Country Cottages are just perfect for that romantic weekend escape… or for a longer, more relaxing break. Set in more than thirty hectares of bush and rolling dairy farmland are two charming cottages furnished in country style. The cottages have 2 bedrooms - the main room has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds which can also convert into a King size bed if needed. The living area has a queen size sofa bed and a well equipped country kitchen. All linen is supplied and special little touches are provided here and there to delight you. Our Pine cottage is equipped for wheelchair access.
Each cottage has a secluded fenced garden, stunning views and prolific bird life. Our canine guests love the space, the smells, the river and the rabbits. They also enjoy curling up before a log fire on frosty nights.
Dogs, or cats, are allowed in the living areas of the cottages, but not on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Dogs can safely be left for the day while you explore the area or there are many leash free areas for your pet to explore with you. They will also love swimming in the river and the dam.
Indulgent romantic dinners available on request.
There are many things to do in the area - bicycling, canoeing, swimming, walking, or use Giba Gunyah as a central base for viewing all the delights of the Sapphire Coast and the Bega Valley.
