Poppy’s Cottage Farmstyle Bed and Breakfast is only 10 minutes from the heart of historic ARMIDALE. Enjoy cosy and warm accommodation in the “Settlers’ Cottage” adjoining the turn of the century homestead. The Cottage is set in about 2 acres of established, leafy, English style garden, interspersed with old-fashioned perennials and roses. With 2 bedrooms and ensuite, the cottage totally private. Guests have the option of a delicious three course dinner by candlelight, with complimentary bottle of wine. Wonderful breakfasts include a large selection of fresh and poached fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice as well as a full cooked breakfast. This may be served in the garden under the canopy of the fruit trees, with the music of birdcall. Enjoy feeding the pet animals and collecting eggs from the hens. Poppy’s is the ideal base to experience Armidale’s culture, tourist attractions with adjacent vineyard. Further along the road, visit world class National Park and spectacular waterfalls. Your hosts look forward to making you welcome.

Cottage

The cottage is warm and snug with heating, electric blankets, fluffy doonas and ironing facilities. There us a small refrigerator as well as tea and coffee making facilities, along with a barrel of homemade Anzac biscuits which disappear very quickly! You will find fresh flowers in the cottage, a basket of fresh fruit, as well as extra bath towels. All linen is provided. After dinner treats include English fudge, chocolate peppermints and an opened bottle of port. There is a CD system – so bring along your favourite music. Television and microwave are available on request. Reading matter in the cottage is both abundant and versatile - a selection of magazines and books offering everything from Byron to The Tree Little Pigs!
