Fernmark Inn offers a unique experience for travellers and city dwellers. Located in the Bega Valley on the stunning Sapphire Coast of South Eastern Australia, Fernmark is situated on 90 acres of glorious bush and surrounded by a tranquil panorama of rural scenery in Brogo (20 minutes from Bega or Cobargo).
The Fernmark property has a main residence where we live, and a purpose-designed guesthouse with four exotic guest rooms based on different cultures of the world.
The idea for the guest suites came while we were sitting in a restaurant overlooking the sea on the beautiful island of Lamu, Kenya, in 1997. Having lived overseas for many years sharing a common passion for travelling, we decided to start a guesthouse based on the countries we'd visited and loved.
Interesting design and colour features combined with collected textiles & art in every room has captured the magic that was originally intended. Now we look forward to sharing the retreat we've created with travellers and guests.
A guest lounge area with wood fire, a reading room & well-stocked library and enclosed courtyard are also places to relax in at Fernmark. The Guesthouse has a kitchen deck situate off the lounge that is sufficient enough to make your self a snack or all your meals and you can experience the Fernmark environment while being self contained. Outside find a chair in the garden, or wander along one of Fernmark's walking trails through our Voluntary Conservation Area and take in the sounds and scents of the bush.
The Ocean Room is our self contained studio unit that is child and dog friendly!! We designed this room to be our underwater world. We learned to dive together....
If you have a dog that you'd like to take on holiday with you, we have a special Doggie Cubbie House for them to stay in with its own enclosed play area. The Ocean room or Mid East room is dog friendly. Please ask at time of making your reservation about the cubbie for its availability!!

Fernmark is located in Brogo, in the foothills of Mumbulla Mountain - near Bega on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It provides a perfect stop for a short break from Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.
Pet Friendly Details
Guests can bring their dogs with prior arrangement. The Mid East room is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed into the guestroom and enclosed balcony. They however cannot go into any of the public areas of the guesthouse (lounge, library and kitchen). They must be on lead around the guest house as we have 2 large dogs we prefer to keep separate. Please bring their own bedding and food.
