You have the choice of three spacious lounge rooms which are fully furnished with every thought given to comfort. Relax beside one of two open fires, or just curl up in front of a cosy combustion heater. All firewood is provided, but if you don't feel like lighting the fires, central heating is available to every room at the flick of a switch.
There are six well-appointed bedrooms, two of which interconnect. There are three queen bedrooms, one double bedroom with additional single beds, and the remaining two rooms each have three single beds. All bed linen, pillows, blankets and doonas are provided.
Some of the rooms have ensuite facilities and there are four bathrooms in total, one of which offers full disabled facilities.
The large country style timber kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil you could want. There are two fridges to store your food and wine. A microwave, dishwasher and gas cooktop and oven should help to ensure a comfortable stay.
There is a large separate dining room with polished floorboards. It has extensive views of the gardens and, with two large wooden tables and numerous comfortable chairs, any seating combination is possible, from banquet to intimate dinner.
If you enjoy table tennis or pool, both are available for your use. How about a game of cricket on the lawn or a ride on the slippery dip or swing? For the less adventurous, board games, puzzles, cards and books await you.
Two and a half hours drive from Sydney and one hour beyond Katoomba, Stone Hedge is located ten minutes from the township of Oberon.
At 1100 metres above sea level, with a true mountain climate, including occasional snowfalls, Oberon features restaurants, shops tennis courts, heated outdoor swimming pool and a challenging 18 hole golf course overlooking Lake Oberon.
