Pungalina offers you a total wilderness Eco experience all at the one location. The camp is situated in a lush grassed area adjacent to a natural underground thermal spring near the Calvert river. The site provides a safe and healthy water supply and the springs are perfect for that early morning or afternoon swim. Guests stay in spacious, fully insect screened individual or twin share tents, in comfortable beds with doonas. Each tent has its own permanent lighting. Maximum of 12 guests so this is a great way to "escape the crowds".
A dining room tent is situated next to a bubbling spring, although many meals are served outside in the shade. A central marquee accommodates kitchen and food storage and is adjacent to the popular outside cooking facility. A separate shower block provides mains type pressure showers, hand basins and flush toilets. There is plenty of hot water. Meals are prepared using locally grown vegetables and fruits (when available), high quality local meats and any barramundi or other fish that may be caught.
