Red Rooster Host Farm is nestled under Mt Arthur only 35 minutes from Launceston, & 1 hour drive from Launceston airport. Set on a 16 acre secluded hobby farm in a peaceful valley at Wyena, surrounded by vast acres of blue gum forest, and bushland.
The guest accommodation cottage is surrounded by picturesque. park like grounds, sweeping lawns studded with century old trees, including English Oaks, Elms and Cedars.
The guest cottage is located next door to our home, with it's has own private entry / sun-room to cottage.
Thousands of beautiful daffodils & foxgloves bloom in spring.
Be mesmerized by the amazing clear night sky with a billion stars.
A bird watchers paradise with many birds including the rare white goshawk, and wedge tail eagles. Abundant native night wildlife visitors.
Many areas to explore with good walking tracks into the surrounding forest, even a magical rain forest to explore, sure to delight your senses.
Guest accommodation cottage is a self contained, comfortable " home away from home" with lots of country charm. Two adjoining bedrooms with 3 beds, sleeps 5 comfortably. Room 1 queen bed, second room queen bed & single bed, all with feather quilts & electric blankets. Wool carpets in bedrooms & living area, slate tile floors in other.
The unit kitchenette is self contained, with microwave, fridge/freezer, electric hotplates, well equipped with everything you require to prepare your meals. A combustion wood fire with plenty of firewood supplied, air conditioner / heating, tea & coffee, milk supplied.

Amenities include flat screen TV DVD, movies, books, WIFI Internet available, wood fire, warm sun room with views of the garden
Breakfast provisions included in tariff, fresh free range eggs, cereals, home baked bread, butter, jam, tea & coffee, milk .

YOUR HOSTS
Howard & Michelle are your hosts, we enjoy sharing our special place, with our guests.
We grow organic garlic, fruit, berries & vegetables. Guests are welcome to any produce from the garden and when available.
We share the farm with our friendly dogs Joey, and Benny (who loves the ball ) a small flock of black sheep, chooks, cute bunnies, and beautiful Peacock "PC" who will visit you at your cottage door.
At night enjoy abundant wildlife, Wallabies, Possums, Owls, Wombats to name a few.
Safe grounds for children to play.

Pet Friendly Details
Dogs are welcome.
We have lots of room for your dog to run and play on the lawns surrounding the guest cottage. We have free range chooks, and peacock & lots of wildlife at night, therefore ask that you control your pet at all times. House dogs only are permitted inside the cottage, please bring your own dogs bedding, or kennel.
