We have a small b&b, separated from four mile beach only by a narrow strip of rainforest.

The guest-wing has two double bedrooms, each with a queensize bed, airconditioning, fans, a fridge, and its own bathroom.

The rooms open into the breezeway, and the garden. There are nice shaded places , to lounge after a swim in the saltwater swimming pool.

Breakfast is served in the courtyard, and consists of the best tropical fruits in season, yoghurt, muesli, cereal, honey. There is toast with locally made jams and coffee, tea, fruit juices or milk.

The local shuttle bus stops at the corner of the street and can take you to town every 15 minutes, or you can walk along the beach: four miles!

At easy walking distance : a pub, bistro , and several resort restaurants.

The Links golfcourse is close by, as is Sea Temple Resort, each with a lovely restaurant..

There is an awful lot to chose from: the Great Barreer Reef, snorkelling or diving, Four wheel drive trips up North, Cooktown, Daintree, And there is the rainforest to explore too.
