Beachside Retreat is a unique waterfront cattle property, close to the fishing village of Stanley, in the far north west of Tasmania.

Here guests can enjoy first class, self catering accommodation, direct access to a secluded beach and a very private, safe place to unwind.

Your hosts, Chris and Janette are committed to making your visit a memorable one and invite you to stay on their beautiful property. As you are staying on a working cattle farm a minimum stay of 2 nights is required and bookings are necessary.

Select from the 3 B/R spa lodge, which includes 2 double bedrooms, one with an adjoining single bedroom, situated in a seaside garden setting, adjacent to the farm homestead, 40 metres from the beach; or for couples, contemporary-style, waterfront ecocabins or luxury nature cabins, one with an outdoor spa pool, on the sand dunes overlooking the beach.

All accommodation is designated non smoking and has kitchens, bathrooms, lounge/dining areas and outside decks. An adjacent laundry facility and disabled bathroom are available. Tasmanian wines may be purchased.

Experience collecting fresh wild oysters for breakfast, swimming, fishing or birdwatching.
Inspect the beef cattle herd or experience the nocturnal, Tasmanian wildlife around your cabin. Enjoy a half or full-day, Land Rover tour of the Tarkine or Dip Falls, run by your hosts.

Take the trip of a lifetime; be collected by jet helicopter from your cabin accommodation, marvel at the beautiful coastal scenery or skim over the canopy of the Tarkine wilderness; an amazing experience, not to be missed.

Relax at the end of the day with a glass of fine Tasmanian wine on your waterside deck and admire the magnificent sunsets. Hear the birds settling for the night and observe pademelons and possum emerge timidly from the shadows.

3 Bedroom Spa Lodge A centrally heated, single storey, three bedroom, luxury pine lodge for 5 persons, has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area, bathroom with a large double corner spa, separate shower and toilet, sunroom and covered outdoor dining area. A video cassette and DVD player, dishwasher, deep freeze and telephone are available. Heating is by electric underfloor and wall heaters. Complimentary WiFi, with your own computer, is available at the homestead. The lodge is situated in a seaside garden 40 metres from the beach and is suitable for 5 guests or 2 couples travelling together. Tariff is from $278 to $318, for up to 5 persons.
