Braeside has the advantage of being central to the many attractions to be found throughout the mountains. Come and see the natural features of the upper mountains; visit the many antique shops and galleries; try out the wide range of eating possibilities; take one of the hundreds of walks to choose from. Or you might want to head in the easterly direction and visit the attractions of Penrith Valley; attend the rowing at the Penrith Lakes; or picnic with friends in the Glenbrook National Park.
Braeside is only twenty five minutes travelling time from any Blue Mountains attractions and it is ideally located for those visiting or attending events in the Mid Mountains.
We are located on a mountain ridge only a few minutes' walk from the National Park leading to Murphy's Glen, a popular walking and cycling destination. We are just 1km from Woodford railway station and we will happily pick up guests who choose to travel by train.
The guest's lounge is warmed by an open log fire on chilly days and evenings and it provides a tranquil outlook over the garden while you curl up with the paper, one of the magazines from our rack or a book from the shelves. Perhaps you would like to select from our CD or video selection.
Be one of our many guests who take pleasure in exploring the parklike garden which covers the best part of an acre and is dominated by magnificent trees. The grounds drift off into a valley and they provide a peaceful view to the west, particularly near sunset. This view can also be enjoyed from our sunroom whilst observing rosellas, king parrots and a range of regular visiting birds who come to feed.
We provide a filling home cooked breakfast served in the dining room or in the sunroom. A small fridge is available in the dining room for you to keep wine, drinks, snacks, etc. We are happy to provide an evening meal. This might range from a simple three course meal to a barbecue package for you to cook yourself in the garden if you would prefer.
