Fantail B&B is a large comfortable property set in the naturally air condtioned valley of Shannonvale. 1 hr from Cairns airport, 10 mins from (Port Douglas) and only 5 mins from (Mossman Gorge) it is centrally located for travel in all directions. Set at the base of the Julatten range the valley boasts fabulous views and a host of wildlife. The proerty has a large (barramundi pond) and gardens with fruit trees which help to attract a variety of (birds) and (wildlife) to the property.
The bedrooms are all en-suite and have a fridge, tea/coffee facilities, iron and hairdryer. They have ceiling fans and are fully screened against insects.We have a family room which accommodates 4 people. Breakfast is served on the patio overlooking the pool which has a (waterfall) and (jacuzzi seat)Sun loungers are placed around the pool for the convenience of the guests.
The property is easily accessable in the wet season and it is not necessary to have a 4wd as the roads are well maintained.
Views of The Great Dividing Range , Mount Demi and Thorntons Peak. There is a fabulous swimming hole in the valley itself where you can cool off in the ice cold waters of the south mossman river on those hot summer days and stop off at the local winery on the way back and taste the exotic wines made from the fruits grown in the area.
