Our 4 bedroom house, situated on 5 flat acres is located on a quiet country lane just a short 10 minute drive to the village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba .

Boreen Point is a small village overlooking the sandy beaches and pleasant picnic spots of Lake Cootharaba, and is home to the popular historic Apollonian Hotel.

Things to do

Go sailing, kitesurfing or paddling – hire a canoe or kayak and explore the expansive waters of Lake Cootharaba. The lake is home to windsurfing and yachting competitions and is part of the Noosa River system. Boreen Point is the gateway to the upper Noosa River, the Everglades and the Great Sandy National Park.

Locals and visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the famous Sunday spit roast lunch and to relax on the wide verandah or in the beer garden of the historic Apollonian Hotel. Set on 3 acres with post-and-rail fences and a friendly Clydesdale in the front paddock, the Apollonian is a rustic and welcoming country pub.

Eumundi Markets

Settled in 1873, Eumundi is a small, lively but laidback town in the Noosa hinterland that has become famous for its market, as well as its art galleries, restaurants, shops, pubs and local produce.

Visit the town on Wednesday or Saturday and you will find the popular Eumundi Market in full swing. Famous for its catch–cry of make it, bake it, design it, sew it or grow it, the market attracts thousands of shoppers who come to wander through the walkways and inspect wares for sale at over 500 stalls.

Australia’s oldest bookseller has opened their doors on Eumundi’s main street. Occupying the historic Trading Post building, Berkelouw Book Barn and Cafe is stacked to the rafters with new and second-hand books, exhibitions of work by local artists, and serves coffee.

Call in to see work by emerging and established contemporary artists at galleries around town, shop in quirky boutiques, and pick up fair trade and environmentally friendly products.

Find a table at a café serving up local produce or head to a popular venue where popular musicians perform regularly.
