Kuranda Villas consists of two fully furnished and self-contained holiday villas in the centre of Kuranda, within walking distance of all the attractions within the village. The villas have been tastefully decorated and include those extras which make a stay perfectly comfortable, like locally grown and roasted coffee from the Kuranda Coffee Republic. Both villas feature an outdoor seating and barbecue area, the optimum way to enjoy the small lush tropical gardens. You will be enchanted by the abundance of native birds feeding on a variety of flowering trees and shrubs. A compost bin is provided in the garden so that guests can dispose of their fruit and vegetable matter, crushed egg shells, tea bags and coffee grounds. There is also an aluminium can crusher located on the wall outside the back door so that used aluminium cans can be deposited into the container provided for eventual recycling.
Since June 2009 we have arranged to have a rainforest tree planted by one of Kuranda's local environmental groups for every confirmed booking we have received. This is our way of giving something back to the environment and reducing our carbon footprint.
Ceiling fans are located throughout the villas and a heater is provided for use, if required, in the cooler months of June, July and August. There is no need for air-conditioning in Kuranda as it is much less humid than Cairns and the tropical coastline being over 300 metres above sea level.
The villas have full kitchens with all the necessary crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and pots and pans. We supply some basic provisions for your comfort and to help you settle in on your arrival, such as extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, sugar, locally grown Nerada tea and locally grown and roasted coffee from the Kuranda Coffee Republic. Complimentary Port is provided.
NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED INSIDE THE VILLAS
There is a TV and DVD player, as well as a CD/radio system.
There is a safe covered parking area and there are security screens on the windows and doors.
Villa 1 sleeps up to 4 people. The sleeping configuration consists of:-

All linen, bedding and towels is supplied and there is a front loading washing machine and dryer provided. For families with very young children there is a portacot and high-chair available, upon request. We also have a removable bed guard for young children who are sleeping in conventional beds.
A minimum booking of 3 nights is required at Easter.
A minimum booking of 5 nights is required at Christmas.
