This was the best weekend. The cottage was really cosy, with absolutly everything provided that was necessary. Squeaky clean and the best fresh chook eggs in the breakfast basket. We will definitely go again soon and this time take our dog too. She would love the beautiful big beach on the doorstep.

Nice and clean cottage, the host was very friendly and helpful, even help us to light the fireplace. The breakfast hamper was a plus, we really like it.
Just 5 mins to the beach, wish we have more time to enjoy it more.

We had a wonderful time at Sandpiper. The cottages are lovely and private with fireplaces. There are beautiful grounds and just seconds to a stunning beach and surf. It is only minutes away from Bicheno and restaurants or cook your own and relax in front of the fire. The hosts Kyle and Tony are terrific. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Set on 4 acres of natural gardens are our 3 private, fully self-contained 2 bedroom cottages. Each cottage is a house in itself, with full kitchen and laundry facilities, plus spacious lounge and dining areas with a log fire. All have sunny, north facing balconies and are quite private from each other.

A recent addition to our offering is The Beach House. A large 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that sits in the dunes and has beautiful ocean views. Being on 30 acres it has complete privacy. It has its own beach access (1 minute walk), and can sleep up to 8 people.

We have absolute beachfront on the beautiful Denison Beach. You can walk barefoot for miles, swim safely or go fishing. Either way the only sounds you'll hear are the waves, the birds and the squeak of the sand as you walk.

The property has a AAA 4 star rating and is the perfect place to explore Tasmania's East Coast. It's only 7km from Bicheno where there are plenty of good eating places. Seafood lovers especially will be delighted with the quality available.

Bicheno also offers a range of activities from penguin tours to diving, to fishing charters.

The World Heritage listed Wineglass Bay is only half an hour away. Bay of Fires is just under an hour to the north.

DVD's, fishing gear and mountain bikes are available for hire. A wi-fi hotspot is available.

During summer, we show movies in the gardens when the weather suits.

Rates.

The Cottages: Our rates for 2 people (incl breakfast provisions) are:

Winter (June, July, August) - $140.
Peak (mid December to end January, Easter) - $190.
All other times - $170.

The Beach House: For 2 people:

Winter (June, July, August) - $190.
Peak (mid December to end January, Easter) - $300.
All other times - $250.

Minimum Stays.

The Cottages: Please note we have a 2 night minimum stay all year round, except during peak season, where there is a 4 night minimum stay.

The Beach House: 3 night minimum all year, with 7 nights over peak season.

The Beach House

The Beach House sits among the sand dunes on the beautiful Denison Beach. The house is oriented towards the ocean so the main rooms (including the master bedroom) can keep a close watch on the water. The walk to the beach is all over in a minute. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (incl an en-suite) and a well appointed kitchen. The property sleeps 6-8. There is a queen size bed in the main and second bedrooms. There are two single beds in the 3rd bedroom and a good quality pull out sofa bed in the lounge room. The Beach House sits on 30 acres of olive groves, so you'll have complete privacy and quiet. Your nearest neighbours are 300 metres away on one side and over 1 kilometre on the other side. Other features of the house include a large lounge, dining & kitchen area, with a separate sun room and undercover parking for 2 cars. It has a large deck overlooking both the ocean and the mountains behind. There's a BBQ there all ready to go. It has electric underfloor heating as well as a wood heate

The Lake House

The Lake House is an architect designed building that perfectly compliments its beautiful position. It sits among 80 acres of native coastal bushland, nestled between an estuary and the ocean. The house has 2 large bedrooms (both with ensuite) and 2 lounge areas. There’s a games room with a full size billiards table. Decks spill from the house in all directions making it easy to follow the sun no matter what the time of day. It has views across the ocean towards Bicheno, as well as inland to the mountains of the Douglas Apsley National Park. A family of wild deer visit regularly and can be hand fed. At night you can watch the lights come on in Bicheno, or settle back to watch a movie on the home theatre. The underfloor heating provides comfort all year round. With striking angles and lots of glass The Lake House has a contemporary feel and is just the thing for those who like a little space and luxury.
