10!!! amazing, everything u could want is there, not far from hobart too..we went with family and a 2 yr old, u must be careful with kids and the river at the back but he was fine..great!!!!

Derwent Vista has three bedrooms and the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom/toilet, There is also a large separate bathroom with separate toilet and wash basin. The modern fully equipped spacious kitchen has wonderful views and there is a separate laundry. On the deck there is a barbecue. The property is fully equipped and self-contained with fridge, stove washing machine and drier, TV, stereo etc. Towels, linen, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and enough milk to get you started are also provided. Derwent Vista sleeps up to 9 people and one baby (See Room/Bed Configuration). All main rooms have wonderful views of the Derwent River and Mount Direction. It has a large riverside garden dominated by an ancient bhutan cyprus hedge and a very old elm planted by Lady Franklin.

The property is bordered to the east by water and by parks on the west side of Harbinger Lane. The local Yacht club and launching ramp are close by and shops and public transport on the old main road are both a short walk away and easily accessed by vehicle.

Derwent Vista is an ideal base for business or pleasure as it is close to major businesses and tourist attractions and the Brooker highway which is the main route to Tasmania's west and north from Hobart. To get to the property you actually drive past the corner of historic James Austin Park where the first ferry in Tasmania and second oldest building in Tasmania are located.

Derwent Vista is rented short to medium term at competitive rates and is suitable for business people looking for somewhere to stay, a retreat or quiet place to work or holiday makers keen on sampling the many attractions that the Hobart region is famous for.

Austins Ferry is the suburb with the most parks in Australia, and a great place to spend a holiday, base yourself for business or just stay for a day or two. There is a public launching ramp and yacht club at the end of Austins Ferry road, very close to all our properties and parks all around to walk in.

As a backdrop Austins Ferry has the magnificent Derwent River, wonderful parks and two mountains, yet the area is close to many attractions, shopping and the city. There are shops, takeaways, a wood fired pizzeria within walking distance along the main road and bus route. In nearby Claremont there are both Italian and Chinese restaurants. A modern Woolworths-Safeway shopping complex is one km or 2-3 minutes away by car.

Austins Ferry is steeped in history being the site of the first ferry across the Derwent river before a causeway was built at Bridgewater and there are a number of historic buildings in the area including Austins Cottage reputed to be the second oldest in Tasmania still standing.

Austins Ferry is also close to the Glenorchy and Hobart CBD's, some of Tasmania¿s largest employers including Wrest point Casino and the best tourist attractions north of Hobart including Moorilla, Alpenrail, Richmond, Bonorong Wildlife Park, Salmon ponds and the Derwent Valley. Claremont Golf and Bowls Clubs are both only a couple of kilometres away.

The Cadbury chocolate factory is very close and one of the oldest National parks in Australia, the Mount Field National Park is less than an hour and a half away. Within two and a half hours you can travel to most destinations in the state including the Derwent Valley, Huon valley, Port Arthur and East coast
