Enjoy a unique & memorable holiday experience in a rural retreat on the unspoiled South West coast of Victoria The "Overland" is a 1905 First Class Passenger train carriage which was part of the first Adelaide - Melbourne Overland fleet, it has now been converted into 4 star First Class units. "Bondi Express" is a 1950's Sydney Double Decker converted into two story 2 bedroom 3.5 star units with separate lounge, en-suite bathroom & kitchenette. Private deck & double doors that open up to create a wonderful & unforgettable in/door - out/door living experience. "Olive Tree Cottage" is a bright spacious & welcoming 2 bedroom 3.5 star cottage, with front veranda & direct access to shaded court yards. "Settlers Cottage" is a 4 star deluxe cottage beautifully appointed with period fittings. It is spacious, light & relaxing, with 1 bedroom with en-suite, & a fold out queen bed in the lounge. "Station Masters Lodge" is a tidy little studio style unit, perfect for a budget stay or a couple looking for a stop-off on their way through the area. All Guests can enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast in the private restaurant after a relaxing nights rest. (Continental from $6 - Full hot breakfast with the works $15). Evening meals are also available for our guests. It's like having your own chef, freshen up, walk across to the dining room, enjoy a quality fresh cooked meal & a drink & wonder back to your room through the gardens for a peaceful nights rest. Evening meals from $21 & our menu & guests comments are all listed on our web page www.codringtongardens.com.au. We are very dog friendly & guests can have their dogs stay with them in their room. THE GARDENS: Our 6.5 acre property is surrounded by beautiful tranquil farmlands with the sound of the Great Southern Ocean in the background (sometimes). Blooms abound year long & with over 6 acres of formal gardens & grounds there's something flowering year round & this attracts an amazing number & variety of wild birds. Meet our Alpacas, Sheep & Peacocks during your stay. Relax in our serene shaded courtyard or find a sheltered and secluded place to recline in the gardens.

Things To Do

Central to historic towns and villages. Close to Dog Friendly beaches & lakes. Unbelievable good fishing, this region is one of Australia's premier fishing areas. Incredible nature walks. Close to "Top 10" rated golf course in Port Fairy. Yambuk lake is only 5km away. With a large beach frontage, walking tracks, and beautiful views it is a delightful place for a quiet picnic. It is also a popular fishing spot with large Bream in the lake, Whitting, Schnaper, & Salmon off the beach, & Tuna off shore. The Crags - The Crags offers tourists a spectacular view of the rugged coastline. Absolute magic for that romantic sunset or to witness the raging might of the southern ocean. Untouched Fitzroy River Outlet, offers more great walks and another premier fishing spot. The estuary is jam packed with bream & salmon. Off the surf beach it's everything going. The area is known as the Shipwreck Coast and the nearby townships of Port Fairy & Portland are a part of Victoria's early settlement days. Further in land are towns such as Hamilton, Mount Gambier, Koroit, and The City of Warrnambool all offering guests many choices of places to visit & sites to see. The area hosts many wonderful festivals throughout the year including the famous Port Fairy Folk Festival in March & the Moyneyana festival at Christmas. Antique & Bric-a-Brac outlets abound, and wait till you see the prices, this is where the City outlets get their stock.
