We realised that the accommodation was early 19C and therefore had an idea what to expect. It was great, like going back in time. Flagstone floors, a lobby and a living room on different levels, a main bedroom and a staircase and an attic?, containing a number of beds. The kitchen was as it would have been all those years ago. A great fire place in the lobby area, not that it was cold at that time of the year, but it was too good to miss out on the open fire. We were fortunate to have had fine days.
Everything that we needed was provided, and discreetly placed in such an old home so as to not spoil its ambience .
It was clean and tidy, a feat in such an old home.
As you can see we had a great time, it was like going back in time living as our ancesters did all those years ago.
Two things were disappointing:-
. that we didnt have more time there
. that there was no resident ghost

This was the first time we stayed at a B & B. It was extremely good, the hosts fantastic , building magnificent, if this is the standard for a B & B anything else would need to be perfect to beat it.
