Canberra is particularly famous for the festivals that take place throughout the year. While it’s true that Canberra is an exciting destination year-round, you would be wise to visit during a few key events: Floriade is particularly enjoyable as a celebration of the coming of spring. The Canberra Balloon Fiesta is also a treat, with hundreds of hot air balloons filling the sky and creating a cornucopia of sights and sounds.
